OK, so I came up with my business name and now I'm thinking twice. I already have business cards, the website, etc.
I know it sounds funny but, I think it's cute when you read it - then when you say it out loud does it sound funny?
Anyway - here it goes:
The Sweet Suite
My website is www.EnterTheSweet.com - again play on words instead of enter the suite.....
I think it's a cute play on words, but say it out loud. If someone asked you the name of your bakery and you said that outloud, is it strange??? I really like the name, but want to make sure it's not too funny for someone to understand when it's heard.
Help!!
I think is great!!!, I like how the 2 words sound, also I think it represents a great name for a bakery!!! and is short and catchy which is important when we talk about brand names.
Good luck

i like it, i think it is cute...i did say it out loud and my hubby asked me what i was talking about and i said "it is the name of someones cake buisness" and he said " thats cute". So i think it works well!
Hi Jodiey,
I went to your website and saw some really great cakes! Good luck with your business. To answer your question...I think the two words are just way too similar and saying out loud is different from seeing it on your business cards. Did you look at other bakeries or cake businesses to see what names they came up with? If you like it than great...I'm sure it'll be a conversation starter.
i agree that it "sounds" nice when you read it, but when said outloud without first knowing what you mean, you gotta think for a second and i would wonder if you'd end up "explaining" it often.
Well, I live in a small town and I'm hoping that after the name is known that maybe the explaining will come to a minimum?? I mean there's a cafe locally called The Garden Gate. By just saying it you wouldn't know what it is, but when I'm at work and people are saying "who wants to order from Garden Gate", I know what they're talking about. Does that make any sense?
I like it. It's clever and it sounds good. The only thing I can think of that you might add is the word 'bakery' at the end. You would still have the name, but there'd be no confusion about what sort of business it is. Good luck. I can't wait until I can open my own shop!
Ohh, and liv102 thanks so much! It's so nice to hear.
Good idea too about adding the word bakery...I'll defintiely have to think about that one........
Very nice cakes on your website, I recognize them from this site. I have some of them saved in my favorites but they were made by jessieb578.
tiggy2 - omg!! Do you know that I am jessieb578
My girlfriend JodieY was at my house yesterday, we were coming up with ideas for favors for her wedding and she logged in under her name to show me some pics that she saved. Well I guess she never logged out and when I came back on last night, I never noticed that I was under her name!!
Now she's probably getting all these emails that is telling her she has responses to her post....
I think you're right. I think in a small town, name it what you like. In our town, even though Piggly Wiggly has been something else for about 5 years now, everyone still knows where you're going when you say you're running to Piggly Wiggly.
Love the name, and the website. I think it's a great play on words, that people are sure to remember. Good Luck!
Yes this is the real jodiey and I have been getting all the emails about this post jessieb578!! Sorry for not logging out, I did the same thing at my mothers house and she was sending comments under my name too
I think the play on words is great and it DOES sound cute when you say it! I DO also agree you should add bakery...it just gives another nice sound to it!
