Does anyone know what angelica is? I found this old candy making book and a couple of things has this listed as an ingredient, but I have no idea what it is. Can anyone help?

its a candied plant... looks kinda like very deep green celery. Not much of a taste thing, more for the look and usually diced up very small or as a garnish
