hi everyone-should brush embroidery only be done w/royal icing? or can BC be used? I have to do it for the first time soon, & I wasn't sure...anyhelp truly appreciated! Also, is it best to pipe a portion of the design, then do the "brushing"...or pipe evrything & then go back for the "brushing" part?
Thanks! jenn

I have only ever worked with royal icing, but I can't see why it shouldn't work with BC, so long as you have a similar consistency.
Work with a portion of the design at a time, starting with background detail and moving "forward".

HTH!

I've done it with bc with a bit of piping gel in it. makes it smooth and easy.

I've tried this twice, using buttercream and it turned out pretty nice. Good luck!
