Sorry - not sure that it is available - Check Australian Food Standards Site

http://www.afic.com.au/2007Images/Categories%20of%20Additives%20and%20Functions.htm

Item no. is 953

Mind you it is an ingredient in heaps of things - like the 'sugar free' lollies etc. - it has been known to cause tummy rumbles and the "runs" - so don't lick the bowl!!!

You could try a brewing shop because I know they use different types of "sugars" for different things - and not sure if Splenda would be a substitute - it is described as SUCROSE and Isomalt is described as RECONSTITUTED SUCROSE - ?#?$#? Maybe need to do a little experimentation.

Can I ask what you were using it for - thought you mentioned something about jewels for a cake - sounds interesting. Share your info when you find the answer - pllllleeeeeease!

ApplegumKitchen, Splenda can not be substituted for Isomalt, been there done that and it doesn't work. I got some when I was in the States last year and I am about to make jewels for "the Cake"
