Hi Wandootie,

I use the Wilton recipe and love it...
3 level Tbsp of Meringue Powder
1 lb of SIFTED confectioners sugar
5-6 Tbsp of lukewarm water

Living in Florida with the humidity, I only use 4-5 tbsp of water

Hope this helps
Denise

I am so sorry I forgot to post the directions, here they are
Make sure all utensils are greese free
place Meringue powder and sugar in bowl mis at low speed until blended
add water and mix 7-10 minutes at low speed until icing looses its sheen

Like I said I start with the 4 tbsp of water then if need be I add the 5th
Also I use a stand mixer KA, if using a hand mixer you may have to mix longer or at a higher speed

always cover bowl with a damp cloth while working with RI to prevent it from hardening
You can store this in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks ( do not refrigerate)

Since I am not all that fond of the taste of royal icing without flavoring, I always add clear flavoring to mine as well.
