This is the cake I made in the Bronwen Weber class I took in Las Vegas this week.
I was so scared, but she was so great... would love to take more of her classes.
It's not perfect, but I'm very happy with it. It was my first time using an airbrush and I loved it... Will be ordering one very soon. First time using Fondx fondant.. really loved it, but it sure drys out FAST....

Usually don't post pics of my cakes, but wanted you all to let me know what you think...

It's in my gallery as well.

I just got home from Vegas and had to get on to CC right away and load it up...I'm so excited

Thanks for looking
LL

That looks great! Wow a class with Bronnwen, that must have been cool. You did a fantastic job on the airbrushing as well. Was it a week long class?

That's unbelievable! I can't even imagine carving a cake & covering it like that. Time to change your name " I do wedding cookies and cakes"

I wish it was a week long class... It was a 4 hour class on Tues. at the trade show... so worth the 100 dollars it cost.. her tips and help was so worth it.

Thank you for the kind comments.

we were given a sheet cake and we cut it in half, and the carved it out and covered it with fondant. So yes it is cake under there...

And with the way she showed us to do it, the basic sculpting we could change it up a bit to make it look like a dog, pig, bear, endless animals.

There were other CC members in the class so I sure hope they post there pics as well.. They were all so great, yet all so different.

Any special tools used or just plain old knives?

No special tools.. She loves to use her fingers mostly.. and her dresdel(sic) tool.. She says "no finger nails... for fondant..LOL
I never have nails. I always cut them, but since we were going to Vegas I thought I would leave them alone... bad idea... I should have cut them.
