I order from them all the time and the shipping is really fast. I am in Pennsylvania though so I am a neighbor! I feel that the shipping is reasonable and I use them all the time. When I started ordering from them I was not licensed so it does not matter. Good Luck!!

You do not have to be licensed...just have your credit card ready! Great place to buy your cake pans. They forgot to send me one I had ordered and it was NO problem. Customer service was on it. My fancy foil was a little crinkled and the cake circles (100) of them were just tossed in the box, yeah that's right, they were not bagged.

Oh yeah....they ask that you "trust" them on the shipping charges. You do not know the actual charges till you get your bill.

I order from them all the time and I really like them. Their prices, IMO, are fantastic.

They do sell to the general public, but there is a $50 minimum purchase and shipping prices are not calculated until your package is shipped. You won't find out what the shipping cost is until the package arrives and your credit card is charged. I've found them to have reasonable shipping rates.

If you are a business, shipping is free for most items.

I'm in NJ and I receive most in stock items within 48 hours with ground shipping from NY.

Some things to note:
Some items are expensive to ship, if you need bulk things like plain cake circles, better to go with a local supplier.

Items on backorder often do not register as such if you order online. If you absolutely have to have it, better to call and speak to a rep who can tell you the status. I found that out the hard way. I needed a specific gumpaste flower and ordered with some other items. When the package arrived, no flowers and BO was stamped on the invoice. I called and was told it was BO'd for 4-6 weeks.

I've never had a bad experience with customer service and have had returns with no issue.

I have ordered from them several times, they are great! I too had some flowers that were back ordered and I did not know until they were not in the box but I received them three days later. When I got them 70% were broken so I called and they sent out a replacement box that day with apologies. The prices are great and if you call them the day they ship (after you receive the E-mail with tracking inf.) they will give you the shipping charges so you know what to writ down for your records.

I order all my colors and wedding cake stuff from them for the last three years. Never a problem, they are great and I am in New Delhi, India. Before that I used to buy it from them and have it delivered to my friend in New York who would bring it out to me. But because they are so efficient I now prefer to do it myself and have introduced them to so many of my colleagues in the business.

I have ordered from them several times. Once I ordered the Chocolate & Cream Rose Combo Sprays, which arrived shattered. I called and got a replacement box immediately, which they packed with a follow-up order. That box arrived shattered, also. I suspect it was the batch, and called again. They refunded my money right away, no arguements. I want to do a day trip to their showroom some day.

Dixiegal -

There is such great stuff on that website that you'd better be ready to re-mortgage your home and offer up your first-born child.

Here is the link, girlfriend. I have it memorized -

playingwithsugar - Ironically enough I was just there this past Monday. I live in NY. truthfully I would not bother making a special trip to see the showroom. It's pretty much a small room with a few items on display compared to what they offer in the catalog. I too have had orders shipped and have picked up directly. Their customer service is top notch. When I went this Monday, I picked up a few tubs of fondant only to find out after I returned home that the 5 lb. pink Satinice I anted was in fact RED. I called them and they shipped me the correct color the next day with no additional shipping charges.

Theresa, I'm registering now.....God help me! Here's another 'secret' website the DH doesn't need to hear about, lol.

Thanks, Noosie, but let me explain why I want to go there.

Yes, I can make great gumpaste flowers, but sometimes my hands (arthritis) will not let me. Therefore, for some projects, I order flowers from them.

If I go there, I can inspect the packages and take them directly home, instead of worrying about how they will arrive. It may cost me some gas money, but in the long run, it would be worth it.

I love the look of the chocolate and cream combos, and they go so well with the chocolate and pink, chocolate and tiffany blue cake combos that are so popular lately. If you lightly airbrush the edges of the cream flowers with white, it brings up the color enough so that you can dust with the flowers with the pink or blue, to have it match the cake perfectly, yet not be too dark.

Your secret is safe with me. Just leave some for someone else to buy.

Hey, take a look in the specials section, and see if the 14 inch serrated knife is still on sale for 9.99. I have two of them, and love them both like my best friends. They cut directly through a half-sheet cake without creating a lot of crumbs.

Also, their price on the full-sheet silicone mats is extremely good. I bought a couple for hot sugar work.

I use them all the time as well, and have never had problems with them..they have the best prices for Satin Ice and they always have it in stock...

BUT I would like to clarify this statement for home bakers out there..shipping is not free for us! It is free if you have a store front, as they use freight instead of UPS/Fed EX. Most trucking companies will not deliver to a private residence. Just thought I would warn you of that one!

I live in NC and I usually get my items in three days. I have had some drums damaged, but most of the time they pack things very well!

Im so happy to hear all these wonderful reviews... I cannot wait to get my order... I ordered some pre-made roses just to see how they come... I can do them.. but im Lazy!! : ) Well actually I work full time and another part time and bake so anything to save me time is worth it...

I have a feeling my credit card might blow up from these charges... : )

Please allow me to elaborate on your comment about free vs. not free shipping.

Not all items are available, even to licensed businesses, with free shipping. Rolled fondant, and other larger items do not qualify for free freight, as they call it, no matter whether you are a licensed business or not.

Yeap, that is true too! I think they also make you pay for shipping on boxes too, no? But it is worth it..., their prices are pretty good.

I have ordered from them for the last 7 years. Great service, never any problems. My last order just got here - 20lbs of fondx, 5 lbs of satin ice and some cutter, 200 disposable bags - $76 plus $19 for shipping.

I have also know someone who lives in Texas order four buckets of fondx, shipping for her was $18.00

My shipping has never been over $20 and the lowest has been $16

I actually would not know about shipping the boxes, as I do not do enough cakes to merit needing that many.

But perhaps someone could elaborate on the quality and sturdiness of their boxes and boards. I am curious, because from what I have been told by others, boxes and boards sold by a local restaurant supply are not as good as those sold in the cake supply store, or even the Wilton boxes and boards.

I love Pfeil & Holing! their prices on Satin Ice are the best around. Shipping is unbelievably quick - granted I live about 2 hrs. away from them, but I always get my order the NEXT day!! They must pack the order immediately as it comes in!

I order all my satin ice and big disposable icing bags form them. The bags are the best. The are non-slip so if your hands are not completely dry they don't slip. I can't think of the name brand. Something with a "H" ?
