I'm making a dummy wedding cake for my future SIL, but I am only arriving in town 2 days before the wedding. My plan is to cover the dummy cakes with fondant at home and then pack it in a box to check as additional baggage.

I'm looking for any tips on how to pack a dummy cake, as if you were to mail it.

Any help would be appreciated!

TIA!
Mirjana

Well, honestly-I would wait to decorate and cover in the fondant until after you arrive. If you cover in fondant and pack them, you will get the fondant all marked up and dented. You will probably end up redoing it once you got there. I would play it safe!
