I have made the Hershey choc cake, and i was thinking of filling it with a Tirimasu filling then covering with choc mmf. Would this filling go with the choc cake, i'm terrible with flavours.
Any advise appreciated.

I have never tasted the two together, but I don't think that you could go wrong with it. Make some and try it because it sounds delicious to me. Let us know how it turns out.

hi! I make the hersheys chocolate cake a lot. Usually I fill it with stablized whipped cream and sometimes fresh fruit as well. You are right though, chocolate goes with everything. Happy experimenting! ~ Pastrypuffgirl

I did the Tirimasu filling with the choc cake and the lady said it was a beautiful combination. She had only had the traditional Gateau cake with it and said she's going to make it choc as well.
So yes it does go with choc.

Nernan, Would you share the tirimasu filling? Are you talking about cream cheese/whipped cream & a little bit of chocolate syrup & coffee? I love Tirimasu!! I make it for most of our family get togethers during the winter. It just melts here during the summer. icon_sad.gif I would love to have the recipe you are talking about. Thanks very much!

Thats pretty much it.
coffee,caster sugar,Kahlua,egg yolks,mascapone cheese(or cream cheese), thick cream,cocoa.
The full method for this is in the recipe section under Tirimasu.
