Quick!!! I am getting ready to assemble my first gingerbread house and I'm suddenly panicking!!! I am placing them on these round unfinished pine cutting board things I found at Lowe's . . . but will Royal Icing be enough to get them to stick onto the board??? I am just assembling today, and decorating the houses and boards on Saturday with my mom . . . help please!

royal icing will hold it together but you have to hold the pieces in position until it dries...it might take a little bit. the royal will dry hard...good luck!

I would have to think that you won't have any problem. I would suggest that you make some sort of "landscape", either snowy and white or green or whatever, that will certainly help your gingerbread to stick to the board. If it's of any size, the sheer weight alone will assist also.

HTH, Good Luck, and post a picture or two!

I would think so since the Royal icing dries so hard it acts like glue. I would line the edge of my wall then do a line on each corner it makes once I set it on the board for extra hold.
