Hi! I'd planned to make several dozen "coffee cup" cupcakes for work this week - I even practiced them to make sure I could do them...
Then I realized a major problem with my plan...getting all those decorated cupcakes to work on the commuter bus!!!
I checked in a number of stores - Target, Linen n' things, Kmart, Walmart - and I couldn't find any multi-layer cupcake carriers. Is there such a thing? I'd love one that lets you carry 3 or 4 dozen...

Wilton has a cupcake carrier that holds 12 cupcakes, try Hobby Lobby or Michaels. Also, Crate & Barrel has a 24-cupcake carrier.

And if you can wait long enough, you can order a carrier that holds 36 cupcakes from http://www.cupcakecourier.com

A friend of mine saw this carrier on Rachel Ray's talk show and bought it for my birthday. I haven't had the occasion to use it yet - but it's really neat!

i got one from target it is an onida and it hold two dozen cup cakes i love it! also i think i might have seen one similar at my Micheals have you tried them. Also if you have a kitchen store near they sometimes have things that are harder to find but they tend to be more exspensive being a specialty store.

Target has one that carries 2 dozen cupcakes. Go to www.target.com and search "cake carrier" It is $19.80 and I also saw it at my local Target. It was on the top shelf. HTH

I was at Target yesterday. Right beside the Wilton cupcake carrier (which holds 12) was a different brand carrier (sorry, I don't remember what it was) which will hold 24. The bottom of the carrier snaps off and is a 12-cup cupcake pan. The other 12 fit in a rack which fits above and inside the lid. It was pretty ingenious. Here in Little Rock, the price was $15.99. I would have bought a couple but I already have 2 of the Wilton ones and I don't do cupcakes very often.

Edited to say "Wow! Great Minds Think Alike!!" Y'all must've been posting while i was reading & posting!

I actually use these,

http://brpboxshop.com/bakery_boxes/1499.html

they insert into a regular 14x19 bakery box and the shape of the holes really grip the cupcakes without smooshing them, even if you bump the box. Plus - IMHO - you look more professional showing up at your venue with a bakery box than something you'd take to a potluck (IMHO!!! IMHO!!! icon_lol.gif )

I have the one like the lakeside but I got it at KMart (Martha Stewart) and it looks like it will work really good, I just haven't tried it yet. I think I paid around $12ish for it.

good luck, thanks for the posts everyone, I LOVE the cakecourier one!
