I know I'm not alone on this one, I see clothes, flowers, greeting cards, book covers, and think about how I can put it on a cake. What I would like to see is a picture of your inspiratin, or an explanation, then a link to the cake you created. So many talented people on here, let's see what ya got!!

I do the same thing. I sometimes dream up a cake idea. Keep a pen and paper by your bed you never know when a great idea can hit.

I've done the same thing, sadly I haven't actually been able to get around to making the cakes, but I'm hoping that will change soon.

I have an idea for one cake that is just mind blowing. I hope so much I can pull it off, I'm just waiting for a good reason to try it, because I have a feeling it's going to be an expensive one to make. hehe There are a few techniques I have to get down first, though.

I was at a wedding recently, and one of the guests had on a dress with such a great pattern. I asked her to email me a picture of it so I could make a cake to match. I think I'll have to remind her, though, because I haven't received it yet.. haha She probably thinks I'm insane.

I'll be sure to post some as soon as I can make them, though. I have a folder full of nothing but ideas for cakes, from other things I've seen around. One even came from a jacket I saw on a sci-fi show.

I hope this thread gets a lot of people posting their cakes and where they got their inspiration.

I get soo much inspiration from here, in denmark not many makes cakes with so many details like those you see here on CC. And thats why I'm starting to get orders from people who lives really long way from my. It's fun because im new at making cakes like those you see here. But this time I have to use my imagination..... I cant seem to find a racetrack? It's ok it cant be to hard to make... LOL
