In the Whimisical Bakehouse book, Kaye's Buttercream calls for 1cup egg whites (~12 lrg eggs). I got one cup of egg whites w/just 7 eggs whites.....should I use this or add all 12 egg whites??

Any hlep ASAP would be great....trying to make this for a cake tom!!

Thanks
Christine

are you using large eggs too??
if you're not then i would just measure 1 cup of egg whites
and also not all large eggs are the same size
i bought some (large)eggs from walmart and had some left from fiesta the size of both eggs where the same but the egg yolks from fiesta (very much noticable) where smaller then the one from walmart

i make her recipe all the time. DO NOT use 12 egg whites....whatever you get for one cup is enough!

If you make their house buttercream, it turns out to be the same texture as Kaye's, but of course it tastes VERY different.
