Can anyone help me? I am new to this forum and I was read different topics when I came across one where people were dicussing using buttermilk and flavored coffee creamers instead of water in cake mixes. Does anyone know where I might have been? Also, I read where there is cake mix extender forum. How do you get there? Thanks

that's for the cake mix extender... I've personally used this recipe and it works great icon_smile.gif

as far as using the buttermilk, etc. in cakes, I haven't tried that. I have used sour cream from recipes from the book "The Cake Mix Doctor" or as referred on here by the acronym CMD. It is wonderful!!! So moist and just absolutely yummy!!

Hope this helps!

thanks for your help. I only wish I knew where I was when the forum talked about adding flavor creamers instead of water to a cake mix.
