hi everyone, i have a quick question..
when u make chocolates in the "candy molds" how do u get the different colors.
do u put say, green on little parts , let it dry and then do the next color?
i hope this makes sense !
thank u
Yes. That's it! For example: If I am doing a santa mold. First I "paint" flesh color onto his hands & face. Let it dry. Then put the gold onto the belt buckle. Then black onto the belt. Do the white trim on his suit next. Then the red portions of his suit. Then when it's all dry, I pour the entire pop with milk chocolate.

yes...using melted colored chocolates and a paint brush to paint in the smallest details.
usually don't have to even wait for the chocolate to harden...by time you've got them painted and the main color ready can just dump the main color in.
ok i understand that, but now another question lol..
do u paint the whole bottom of the mold with colors, and then poor in whichever color u would like, or do u say paint everything but the flesh, then make the rest of the chocolate flesh? with dumping the flesh color in over the red green ect?
I depends on the detail of each mold. Say I am working on the Santa pop. I paint the entire pop with the colors needed, then pour the pop with milk chocolate. Kids prefer milk over white.
ok that makes sense! that u guys VERY much for ur responses! i think im going to make chocolates for Christmas this year to give away to family.. me and my boyfriend are trying to save money and i figured this would be a nice but less expensive gift.. do u think people will like it?
