Yes I think you can in my area we have "Autum on Parade" and you could with ease sell anything food, and cute at a $1.00 price tag.
Go for it and good luck, make enough.

From reading that last posting, I think people WILL pay $1. Remember, people do come there knowing to pay a little bit more. I wouldn't make as many as you talked about though, but a small variety would be good. I also think I might be 'pumpkined' out too.

yes, I think you could sell a cupcake for a $1.

(I wanted to say in the other post..I don't think you need to make as many as you were planning. Not everyone is going to buy one and you don't want to have extra!)

Good luck!

Absolutely yes! Baskin-Robbins sells ice cream cones for $2.00 and up. You can't get a soda for $1.00. $1.00 for a nice home-baked cupcake with quality ingredients is very reasonable. In San Francisco there is a cupcake store that sells them individually for $2.50. And I know that's S.F. where things are "posh" and expensive, but still! Don't undersell yourself, there's such a thing as "snob appeal" where if something is slightly costly there's the "image" of it being attractive. How do you think the fancy-shmancy bakeries can sell their wedding cakes for tens of thousands of dollars? Go for it, and think of all the exposure you will get. Make the frosting nice and high and use real butter of course! Good luck!

Yes you can, one dollar is a fair price to pay. People are going there to have fun and eat food. When was the last time you paid only a dollar for something at an event? I cant remember? If I walked past your table and saw cupcakes for a dollar I would get in line! Stop worring so much you will be a big hit at the fair! Have fun! thumbs_up.gif
