Hi there everyone!.....

My brother the doctor is having his grand opening for his new practice and of course I need to make a phenomenal cake for him. I love the purse cakes so I thought about a doctor's bag...maybe with a stethescope sticking out? Who makes the best black food coloring?

Any other inspirations for a "doctors" cake would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks in advance!

Americolor makes the best black. I think Fondant rolled would work nicely for the stethascope, especially out of a pasta maker.

A stacked or tiered with little pills, thermometers, BP cuffs, reflex hammers, (speculums icon_eek.gif ) Just thinking, worked in a Drs office prev, the pills would make a great border, (thinking out loud again.)

Have you seen the tiered cake in the gallery of the dental hygenist graduation cake with the teeth and brushes etc? That one gave my tons of inspiration. Maybe serve out sheets after the wow cake for volume if you need it.
