Maybe CK? I know that you have to have a license in order to do business with them. Maybe do a search on wholesale baking supplies in Atlanta and see what you find.

GOOD LUCK!

Well, if you are talking about Americas Mart, that's in downtown Atlanta. I've been there twice. Yes, you can buy at wholesale prices. All you need is your business license, EIN number, and federal tax id number. It is an amazing place, they have like three buildings, it is HUGE, SO MANY things. I love it!!! thumbs_up.gif But, I don't know if they have a market for cake decorating supplies. I went for the gift market, I had a business before and it was for gifts, home decor, gourmet and that kind of stuff, so, I don't know if they have a market for cake decorating supplies. But you can check on www.tradeshowweek.com and www.americasmart.com. HTH

You're going to need much more than a tax id number to get into the America's mart. I think they are now requiring a resaler's permit which can be easily attained from your local permitting agency that issues resale certificates.

Ive been to the "Mart" on corporate Friday, but was only allowed on certain floors and not all the stores are open. I've heard it is an amazing place. Alot of the stores you will need to go in and place an order because they do not have stock. Good luck, I'm jelous!

I am a one person show too. I just got my EIN online to make it easier to prder from companies. It's really easy. I'll try to find the link, or you can do a search for EIN# Just make sure that you are on the IRS website and not some site wanting to file it for you. It's free.

My husband and I have a wholesale business, and we go to the Gift Show twice a year in January and July. Thought I would let you know it is not easy to attend the show. Also, I don't recall seeing much of any cake related supplies but I don't look for them as they are not part of our business.

The Americas Mart will not let you in if you don't have all the items they want to see. Make sure you read the dmission Pollices on their web site if you want to attend.

There is a show Sept.8-10 at the Americas Mart. It is a wholesale show only--meaning you have to resell whatever you buy. It is closed to the general public. There is a list of 5 items you must show or fax (current retail business license, imprinted business check, corporate credit card, photo ID, and personalized business ID-i.e. business card or cancelled check) before they will let you in.

Also you must have one of the following: white or yellow page business phone listing, current year executed sales tax return or sales tax coupon book, lease agreement for commercial space, photo of retail store with company name displayed, current invoices showing you purchase Mart-related merchandise in quantity for resale. These invoices may be required to verify that your business resells products represented in America's Mart.

Hope this answers some of your questions.
