Difference Between Gumpaste And Sugar Paste

being a newbie I'm a little confused between the two. I love the flowers I've seen in the gallery photos, and would love to make them. Any help in this would be great

Sugarpaste or rolled fondant is a cake covering.
Gumpaste is a moulding/modelling coumpound.

You can model with sugarpaste [it will be "softer"] but you cannot cover a cake with Gumpaste.
