Working on a wedding cake for tomorrow and my fondant just won't work.
It's basic rolled white fondant. When I get it all rolled out, placed on my cakes and smoothed out, there is one part that I just can't figure out. I can get it smooth on top and around most of the sides but what do I do with the extra folds?? I just don't understand how to get rid of them and make the whole cake smoothly covered?! Help me please someone....I already cried myself to sleep last night over this. I can't let my friend down!

It's kind of hard to explain... Here's a tutorial that might help!

Start from the top down. Smooth the top of your cake with the fondant smoother then if it has corners do them next. If it doesn't pick a spot and work your way down all the way around the cake. I'll post a link to a tutorial. I'm sorry you are having a tough time. http://www.atecousa.net/learn/satin_ice_1.shtml
This link was on cc about a week or so ago. I know it really helped me with my course 3 cake.
