This was one of my most favorite cakes I did for an anniversary. The couple really enjoyed it and I had fun making it. I posted it during a high volume upload time so it didn't get much view time. Thought I would take the chance and post it again. The second one is a small 12" wedding cake that I made for a last minute bride and groom. Loved the finish on this one.

I made this cake today and it didn't appear on the "newest photos" section of the front page. I don't know it even got the views that it did (maybe ppl browsing the bday cake gallery??) but for some reason, it got skipped over as far as getting to the front page goes icon_sad.gif

The reason why your cakes don't have any comments is because you have not enabled comments on your photos. To fix that you can click on "My Forum Info" and then scroll down to were it says "preferences" there will then be a number of options that you can say yes or no to (comments on cake is the 4th one down).

OK, I admit that I was surprised that this didn't received more attention. Not for my work, but for the design which I credit to Kimberly Fullerton.
Thanks for looking...

Hi I posted this on Sunday and never did see it on newest cakes. I kept watch all day. It has got views, but I was really hoping for some comments/critique since it was my first fondant cake. Would love to know what anyone thinks.

OK, so here's mine. I was tossing up whether or not to post. Do I or don't I??? icon_confused.gif

Well, I made this cake last weekend for a friends dd's 21st. It was tough working with the black fondant 'coz it's so soft. I was really chuffed with the outcome and it got knocked off the front page even before I could check where it was. It was a busy day for uploads I guess. icon_sad.gif

It was fun making it, so here it is....

I made this cake over the last weekend. It was my first time making a royal icing tiara and making chocolate butterflies. I just love all the great ideas and advice I find on here. icon_biggrin.gif

I was pretty proud of this cake, but it hasn't really been looked at, so maybe that is because I think it is better than it really is....Let me know. I know that I need work with modeling - the horse is just ok.

http://www.cakecentral.com/mod.....id=1065083

I also was suprised that this one didn't get many views.

I just appreciate comments for the advice I get. As you can see I need advice, I am just starting to get into this.

Thanks for looking.

gawrsh, ladies, maybe this is why i don't have any photos....
i'd SO want good, honest criticism, from Those Who Know, ya know?

except i definitely AM my worst critic, so i'm a bit fearful to post something that i know needs work....

and my work just hasn't been the same since Crisco died....
picking up 50 lbs. of hi ratio THIS weekend...,

Well I have two that I posted recently and I posted during a high traffic time so they got pushed back pretty quick... but these were two that I had been wanting to try for awhile and got a good chance finally.

I copied this cake from someone (and gave them credit) but I made it my own so to speak. I was really proud of the final product and it makes me smile to see it.

Wow, some of these cakes are amazing! It's almost sad that there are so many gorgeous cakes on cc that some of these works of art accidentally get missed.

Not sure if mine ranks up there with rest I've seen, but this one has the least number of views of all my cakes, and only one comment, even though I was pretty happy with it - especially the gold (white chocolate) medallion.

Hey everyone, you all have done some very nice cakes! I have started taking the classes in June and think I have done fairly well for just learning. I know these don't compare to some on here...but I try and do my best and learn as I go. I like my cakes! (usually, unless they fall over like my topsy did) LOL Thanks for taking the time to look!

I enjoyed seeing and commenting on so many of the cakes I missed. Here are a few I thought would do much better than they did. the pirate ship and fire truck never made the home page and the plane only lasted about 2 minutes.
