Ok, it's me again...Briansbaker trying to learn something new every Birthday.. My daughters b-days have come and gone. Whew I survived the sleep over.
icon_surprised.gif BAM tomorrow is my sisters B-day and Wed. is my 14yr. old sons. I was thinking about an Ice Cream Cake for one or the other. I've read the article here on how to make the ice cream cake, sounds easy. Now what icing do any of you recommend for this? I am not sure about Buttercream being I will have it in the freezer for awhile. I just think another one would work better.. (actually I am looking for something not so sweet) I have my own whipped cream icing recipe. But I want to try something new..
Thank you in advance!!! icon_biggrin.gif

I made my first ice cream cake in October. I had the ice cream on the bottom and the cake on the top. I used buttercream...freezed it...and it came out just fine. See the picture of the Star Wars cake with the fondant light saber under kids birthday cakes. That one is mine.
