Hi everyone! I have just been given an awesome opportunity to do a local wedding show that will have about 400 brides in attendance. There will be four cake vendors from our area. A friend of mine is in charge of the show and asked if I'd like to be one of the vendors. OF COURSE I would!!! Problem... I'm not yet a "legal" decorator. I live in Texas. I know for a fact that I can rent my church's kitchen. It is a commercial kitchen and is regularly inspected because we run a preschool and have other events in our church where this is required. Once I get the okay from our church what is the rest of the process of my becoming "legal" AND is it even possible to get all this done within a couple of weeks... the wedding show is in a couple of weeks. eek!

Can someone please, please help me??? Thanks!

I am in Texas and I rent a kitchen. You need to call your county Health Department for the answers to those questions.

In Williamson county, it is just a matter of paying the license fee if the kitchen already has a license for another purpose. Once you have the license, you have 3 weeks to get a food handler's permit. It's pretty simple.
