I have no idea what is usually done for this occassions, neither does my client.
PLEASE HELP>...............ANY DECORATION IDEAS WILL BE APPRECIATED!
Thank you,

Also doves (holy spirit) is another common theme for Confirmation cakes.

i always think a bible is a nice way to go, and especially for a boy- it would be easier if it were a girl- i'd recommend roses and such. or you could do a cross. go do a search on here under either baptism or confirmation ( i think it's under celebration cakes) that might help you start to get some ideas. maybe a fbct of praying hands.
this is one of my bussiest "holidays" being from a catholic town my most ordered cake for confirmation is the large square cake (forgot the actual size) with the wilton cross cake on top at an angle. i usually cover the cross in fondant and either BC or cream cheese icing for the square cake then add flowers on the cross "falling" onto the square cake.
i added a pic, i actually made this for my niece's baptism but it gives the idea of what i tried to expain above lol
I am doing a confirmation (16 year old girl) and first communion cake (her 7 year old brother) soon and just ordered a candy melt mold set from sugarcraft that will assemble into a 3D church on the top. I think it was $4.50
thank you all for all your ideas...it's great to count with such a wonderful team!
I'll let you all know what I come up with thanks to your ideas.
my 3D molds arrived from sugar craft today! I can't wait to do the cake... not till march, bummer. I might have to play with them before then LOL, if you want to see them go to www.sugarcraft.com then under candy choose candy molds then select religious, you will see a pic of it at the top
