I have a double stack cake to do for Saturday. The bottom will be a 12" round (filled) and the top will be an 8" round (filled). I need ideas for decorations. I see lots of teacher cakes...but not really any school cakes for a birthday party. The boy is 6 years old in Kindergarden. He likes red which would go well on a school cake. Any ideas?????

Hi Stacie,

There is a pic in my photos of a sheet cake I did for the teacher appreciation luncheon, on it I put a FBCT of 2 little kids writing on a whiteboard (all they seem to have in schools these days). When I downloaded the pic, the board had no writing, so I used Photoshop to put the saying I wanted and printed it out (backeards, of course).

I'm sure, if you wanted to go that way, the pic could be adapted to a round cake through re-sizing. I think it would make a great school/b-day cake, if you had the kids writing "happy birthday _____" on the board.

If you want that graphic, I have it and would be glad to send it to you. The font I used is called "first grader", I am not sure where I got it but I can probably send that file too.

Let me know,

Toni Ann
