We are going scalloping this weekend with a group of people. I've been thinking about making some sort of scallop-shaped cake. It certainly won't happen before this weekend, but I thought I'd make it for a get-together we're planning after the trip to eat our bounty! I'd like to include the 'eyes', like in this picture.....

do you have the shell cake pan? Do you know how make edible pearls. You can use that technique to make the eyes. for the grass that sticks out maybe make string of royal icing to stick. You will probalby have to make a lot just in case some break.

Or you could carve the shell shape from a round cake. The blue eddible pearls are a great idea.

Here are some shells you could use for a bigger pattern.
