I made this cake this past weekend for some Florida Gator fans. From it I have received three orders already. The picture isn't the best and I learned alot from this first one, such as fondant smoothness. What other things do you see that might be of help for the next ones that I do. I am open to criticism just be gentle. LOL!

Well, I can't offer anything in the way of "what to do next time" because I think it looks darn cute just like it is. I think you did a great job on a challenging cake. thumbs_up.gif

I think it's great!!! Only thing I could think of... was maybe a thicker cake board with a cleaner edge... but that's just an aesthetics thing... Great work!!!

I think you did an awesome job! If you're looking for picky points, well, you might want to mottle the coloring a bit for a 'gator look or do something scaly? But, I don't think this guy needs a thing done to him! Bravo and congrats on all the orders!

You did GREAT! I agree that the board could be better with a little better water look and for me the arms are a little small well maybe just the paws.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Really really cute! I agree though the only thing i would change is to make the base board thicker, somehow. Your cake is just darling though.

Being from Tennessee, I am not a gator fan, but I am a fan of this cake. It looks great.

Thanks to all of you. I am truly overwhelmed with the compliments. That is a very good point for the board and I will put ribbon around the edge to. Also, maybe do a color flow for the water. It was kind of hurried which shows. Sandygirl, my parents both went to Tennessee so we are a divided family.
