Yes it is 3am in New Zealand and I have just finished the first of two cakes I have to do today. I am sooooo tired and the mess I now need to go and clean up is unbearable!

This cake is my Aine2 Style. I think she is a legend!

Lots of firsts for me. First time I have put filling in a cake! The fondant tore so I had to put another layer on. I am so tired that when I went to take a picture I noticed I had glued her name on wrong it read JUILE, thank goodness I noticed. I had actually made a side table and bits and pieces but the cake board I had was too small.

Well I am off to clean up then get a couple of hours sleep before its time to get up. For you guys who do this professionally I am in awe.... I'm a wreck!

Your cake is really adorable. I have not worked with fondant or made any figures yet. I'm still a little nervous, yet excited about trying all that. I'm usually up at all hours of the night when I decorate too.

I cant stress enough what an absolute fabulous teacher Aine2 is! When I first started figure work I couldnt even roll a ball (true!) I have bought just about every book on the subject but Aine2 has a very unique ability of making it all click. My only wish now is that she publishes something! I hope by now everyone has seen her slideshow on how to make a face???? How Generous is that for her to share her talent & time with us all!?

I ended up getting to sleep 2 hours ago and I am up now and about to attempt the next cake (football jersey with a gazillion stars!).

Might allow myself to have a nap this afternoon! Thank you again for all the lovely comments, this place totally rocks!!

Great job! I try not to cover cakes at night time as I always seem to have imperfections in the morning. Could be I am not seeing clearly. The pearls are perfect. You mastered it! A very professional cake.
