Hi everyone,
I was thinking about the use of fondant or rolled buteer cream on cut out cookies. Here's the question. If I cut and bake the cut outs and then freeze them, how do I use the rolled butter cream or fondant on them? I have read where you are supposed to put it on right after they come out of the oven. Could I put the cookies back in the oven for a few minutes to reheat them and then put it on?

Thanks!
Brenda

If you make your cookies and bake them and then freeze them. When you are ready to decorate them, just thaw them and paint a little piping gel on the cookie before applying your mmf or rbc. This should act as the "glue" to hold your frosting in place.

Or you can do as you stated - heat up the cookies a bit in the oven and place the MMF or RBC on. It works. I've done it that way too.

Good Luck!
