Any Bay Area people remember the Nut Tree's cookies from a long time ago? I used to take my daughter there in the early 70's and that's the first thing she wanted, a cookie.

Well, today my husband and I went, hadn't been there since it reopened. I was actually sad. I wish they would have left more of the original things there, i.e. the toy store, and the buildings. Anyway-- maybe that's where I first fell in love with cookies. The shops, the dining room-- they were great.

Wishing those cookies were still there!

I agree. We used to stop there on our way from San Rafael to Tahoe. They used to have the best breakfast and the treats were amazing.

Progress...not always a good thing.
