I made one recently and have gotten several inquiries. Just want to get an idea of what others are charging. Thanks!

I made that one in the tutorial as a gift for my baby sister.. But I've asked the same thing to those who have seen it.. They said I could easily get 40 to 45 for that cake.. I mean really.. How many bakeries in your area make this kind of cake? And if they do, I bet yours is still prettier, bigger and taste better.. Just a thought!

I made a Louis Vuitton-looking purse this weekend and charged only $40 for it. Some people at the birthday party where the cake was served used to own a bakery in Mexico and they told my client that I should have charged $120 for it. I think that may be a *little* excessive, but depending on the amount of detailing you have to put into it, I'd probably charge $75-$100 next time. You can't get a cake like that at a grocery store, and a specialty cake store wouldn't mind charging $100 or more. It's a lot of work.
