What would you like to have as the theme for September?

Well, I'm new-ish on this site and it's my first time on cookies, so I don't think I'm officially in "the club" but how about something to do with back to school?

last month's club was a little scarce(sp?). maybe we should have stuck with another back to school?!?!? lol
maybe it could be a new version of back to school. maybe something to do with what we do or could do now that the kiddies are back in school. i've got my list started already!!!

Yes, getting kiddies back in school in August (school clothes, supplies, etc) has kept me and many of my friends busy.

Now it's time to RELAX---((((((( Calgon, take me awaaaaaay )))))

How about fall colours the beautiful yellows, golds, orange. I know we dont all have the leaves changing colors so this can be a color theme representing fall since I believe that we use that word because of all the leaves falling off the tree.

How about football? I can't wait for the new season to start. I always do my ironing on Sunday afternoon while a game is on. If I miss something, there's always the replay to watch.

I've never posted cookies for the monthly club, as I'm new and have a problem figuring out how to post pictures! But I'm looking at doing a lot of cookies for a cake show late-September, so I'm going to try and have my teenage sons help me!
SarahG, there will be a thread where you can post your club cookies. It will explain everything. Take a look at the August cookie club post.
Laura, each month a theme is picked for cookie decorating, and you post what you've made that month that fits that theme. There are some very talented decorator's on this site, and their creations are often awe-inspiring!

Just to sum up, here are the suggestions for September's theme:

* fall colors - yellow/gold/orange
* football
* space/solar system
* school

Since we've already done a school theme and there was another thread with the theme space recently, maybe we shouldn't repeat those two right now. So, "fall colors" or "football"?????

We've got one more day to decide on one of those themes (or any other suggestions) Which theme would you prefer?

I'm thinking of joining if you'll have me and would choose fall colours because as far as football goes I know what one looks like and that's it.

I forgot to ask what's involved and could I read about it here somewhere?

When I suggested football, I wasn't even thinking of the actual ball! I was thinking uniforms, mascots, helmets, and logos. College or pro. The fall colors is far more broad, so you might get more people coming up with unusual interpretations, which can be quite interesting. I can't wait to see what it'll be.

I'm game for whatever you guys choose.
