Oh my! What a tummy ache your pooch will have. Apparently he/she was just waiting for the right opportunity!

Yeah, I can't count how many times I've lost a cake to my dog, even when I think it's out of his reach he still finds a way to get it...

icon_surprised.gif You poor thing, I would have been devastated and afterwards the dog would have been too!

I hope you have time to redo the cake. icon_cry.gif

I am sorry this happened to you but it makes me feel better. Last week I made 2 cakes for the last lesson of course 1 wilton. Had them cooling on the side, came back in the kitchen and only 1/2 of one cake left. I looked everywhere for the cake not sure where I thought it had gone but it is the first time ever our lab has taken anything off the bench but obviously mums cake was just too tempting.
So the dog literally ate my homework.
Now she isnt aloud anywhere near the kitchen when cake is out at all.
Cute cake though.

Haaaaaaaaaa. I know exactly what you mean. I baked a cake and about 10 minutes before I was going to deliver it, my Golden Retriever, Chewey (below), ate the front off. One of the tinkerbells - GONE, GP flowers - GONE, frosting- GONE. Didn't think it was funny at the time and was to upset to take a pic.

Oh gosh that cake looked really good to!

From now on no more leaving the dog around my cakes. I would just cry! icon_cry.gif

I count myself lucky too, my dog only ate the cooled undecorated cake.

yup, my dog likes cake, too! can't turn your back for one minute...I had my cake on the table, went outside to water my veggies (mind you, DH was IN THE SAME ROOM and didn't see the dog on the table eating my cake), came back to a doggy chewed cake. Luckily I had a spare in the fridge...I too was way too p-o'd to take a pic...
Always up for a good cake...

Oh that is making me so glad my dog is only 4 pounds and can't get to the table. He's just a few inches off the ground. Now kids on the other hand are my problems. They think they need to swipe their finger thru the frosting.
Duct tape won't fix stupid!

Some people are like slinkies! Not really good for anything but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs!
