Ok I did a wedding cake this weekend, and everything just went smoothly. I had lots of fun doing it and it truned out pretty well. I kept telling my husband I couldn't believe it was going so well, and I kept waiting for some big thing to go wrong. Thank goodness it didn't! I don't know if I'm finally getting the hang of making wedding cakes or if I just got lucky! The worst thing that happened was that the lillies the florist sent were completely closed, and they were the only flower that was supposed to be used on the cake. I pried two of them open and surrounded them with roses.

Now if I only had a clean kitchen.....

It is a very pretty cake. I never would have known about the lilies. Congratulations on the "problem free" cake.

I think you do a beautiful job on all your cakes! I think the roses look really pretty on your cake. Wedding cakes can be very stressful...but they are my favorite thing to do. But I definitely know the aftermath in the kitchen can be terrible!!! I have made some of the biggest messes in my kitchen...it just drives everyone crazy!!! We recently moved to a new house...and we decided to have 2 kitchens...so now I have a kitchen just for my baking!!!! I love it and so does my family! Anyway, keep up the great work on your wedding cakes!

I think it is beautiful! but I like all of your cakes. I think you do great work. I know that we have issues sometimes but if you have them you would never know bu looking at your cakes. I hope your good streak lasts forever!

The builder is one that does custom homes. I stay very busy with my little cake business and my family got tired of me making the big messes in the kitchen! So we asked the builder if we could add an extra kitchen upstairs...and they said yes!!! So now I have just my baking supplies up there and it is sooooooo nice. I made sure there was a lot of counter space because it seems like I have stuff spread all over the place!!! I absolutely love it!!!!
