You could do a stacked cake and put things on it that the person has done. For example, did they graduate from college? If so, put a diploma in the schools colors on it. Did they live in different places, do different things that they are particularly proud of? What are some of the things they have done in 75 years?

I saw a cake (on cc) that was a birthday cake for everyone in an office that had something on it that each person liked to do.
