I attended both a birthday party and a wedding that I made cakes for. Each time the cake was cut, the slices didnt come out perfect-they knda crumbled a bit. The cake tasted wonderful, but is this suppossed to happen? Is this because the cake is so moist? It just makes the cake terribly hard to serve.

I have had that happen a few times as well. Sometimes the problem can be as simple as not cleaning the knif between cuts. The icing on the blade will cause the knife to drag, tearing the cake rather than cutting it!
