Is Americolor Less Bitter Tasting Than Wilton?

I'm having trouble with the Wilton color gels making my royal icing bitter, does Americolor have an aftertaste also? Thanks!

Americolors are very strong, so you can use less. I have not experienced any taste in any colors.
