ImageAttention MMF (Marshmallow Fondant) Experts!

MMF (Marshmallow Fondant) is one of those "Hot Topics" that keep coming up in the forums.

I would like to put together a "How To" article on MMF. What I need now are some MMF "experts" (or at least someone with a digital camera, that has succesfully decorated a cake using MMF)

I would like to document the process of making the the MMF (showing photos of the correct consitency, etc.)
Also recipe alternatives (different brand pros and cons, etc)

Hi everyone...

I'm very happy about the upcoming MMF article.....but until then....if you don't like the way Wilton fondant tastes....here in NY I found Satin Ice in Vanilla and it is YUMMY!!!!

My 1st try at MMF was a great SUCCESS!!!! I wanted to share a pic of my cake after I covered it & hadn't decorated it yet. If ya'll would like to know how I did it I'll post the directions. Jscakes, Tcrema & Misdawn taught me how to do it VIA email! I never tried it before now because I thought it was going to be very hard to do. It wasn't hard at all!! The whole process of making the fondant, kneading it, rolling it out & covering a cake (that was iced earlier in the day) took about 22 minutes!! That's all!! Try it!!! If you need any help I'll be happy to help. I'm sure Jscakes, Tcrema & Misdawn would help too!

Let me know if you need any help. All my cakes are MMF, but I add white chocolate. It's so yummy. My brides have all loved it.

peacock...what do you mean "add white chocolate"? You just addit into the MMF? How do you do that? I didn't know you could do that.

Nice article! To add white chocolate to MMF I use white candy melts. I don't have an exact amount. I use one of those tiny pyrex bowls and fill it 3/4 full for a double batch of fondant. For a small batch I thinkk I use 8 or 9 candy melts. Just melt in the microwave and then add them to the melted marshmallows, then add powdered sugar. Next time I make it, I'll try to get more exact measurements.
