I couldnt make these cookies til today, which is thursday and they are due tomarrow. The lady wanted a softer frosting than the hard royal stuff. But they need to be bagged and I need to beable to pipe the frosting. Ive heard about tobas cookie frosting, but can this be piped and will it dry good enough over a 24 hr period to be bagged?

pls help, Thank you so much!

i use royal icing, but mine stays pretty soft for a few days, but gets hard enough to bag in 24 hours. I only use 3 tbls of meringue powder for 2 pounds of powdered sugar. Then I use lots of extract to give it a good flavor and mask the meringue taste. It will be soft to the bite for at least 3 days (cookies at my house rarely last longer than that LOL) if you make it thick enough (not the texture but the flooding), and like I said, it can be bagged.

Both Toba's glace and Penny's glaze can be piped on and will set hard enough to bag. Add add'l powdered sugar to desired consistency. I always wait overnight before bagging.
