Hello Everyone icon_biggrin.gif

This is my first time posting on CC. although I have just browsed through the forms. I would just like to say to everyone you have so inspired me to start designing cakes and taking pictures of my work so you will soon see some of my trial and errors icon_redface.gif , and I am hoping that the panel will help me develope my skills as I go. Now after saying all of that here is my first question?

When you create gumpaste flowers what is that I should use on the flowers & leaves to give it that shiny look?

Thanks

Hi, welcome to CC.

I use either confectionary glaze to give my flowers a shine, or I steam them for a few seconds longer. You have to be careful though or it softens the paste and they can fall apart. HTH
