I am completing a wedding cake and in a bit of a conundrum. I have to attach a fondant drape to a fondant covered cake, and "glue" on about 15 gumpaste roses of varying sizes around the cake. I have to transport the cake about 50 minutes away. Would you use gumpaste "glue"? I'm also trying to come up with a sturdy enough base (the cake is 16x12xicon_cool.gif. Home Depot did not have any plywood circles, only squares. I thought of glass, but it is heavy and they only have 1/4" which would not be sturdy. Thx!

Use a square board and add a little extra decoration in the corners. It really sets the cake off.
