I am making my brother's wedding cake next month. I have always done home made cakes for friends and family for birthdays. This is the first wedding cake I have ever made. I have no idea how to make flowers. I have every tip known to man (or woman) but no idea how to use most of them. Could any one please help me.

This is a good place to find instructions.

I have never been good at making icing flowers myself. Another alternative might be gumpaste or fondant flowers. They sell kits with instructions at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. The easier option would be to use some pretty silk flowers that coordinate with the bride's colors. However...if you have time to practice the icing flowers...you would probably be doing them well by the wedding. My problem is that I have never had enough patience to keep practicing!!! icon_smile.gif
