Opinions Please

icon_biggrin.gif I decided to be a friendly neighbor...a new family w/ young kids (6 and 4) have moved in across the street. I baked a cookies and creme cake and was going to design it and take it over today as a welcome to the neighborhood thing.

Well....yesterday afternoon they were putting stuff in their trunk and they've been gone since...I'm assuming that they've taken a long weekend.

Do I need to freeze the cake?

Should I just go ahead and decorate it and keep it in the fridge? Or will it be nasty by Monday? I don't know how to store a cake really. icon_lol.gif Can't tell that I'm a rookie can ya? icon_rolleyes.gif

You can freeze it... just wrap it well with plastic wrap and if you can place it in a plastic container or wrap it again in aluminum foil. When your ready to decorate it thaw it in the fridge overnight. It will be just fine for a long time if you freeze it.

I'd freeze too! Make sure you keep the cake tightly wrapped until it is completely thawed out. It make shte cake moist and yummy!
