vans brand shoe? is that what you mean? If so, at least around here vans shoes are realy popular with kids who like skateboarding. Maybe you could do a skateboard cake with the vans logo on it?

How about a cake with white bc with black fondant squares placed on it for the checkerboard theme. Then you could make a pair of shoes out of gumpaste and put it on top? I am not sure about the vans show? Sorry not much help, but good luck!

If memory serves me correctly - VANS has a show every year called the VANS WARPED TOUR - where certain modern acts get together and throw one hell of a rock concert. The skater theme is perfect - then again, so would a skateboard base with pair of black/red checkerboard vans (loafer sneakers) on top with graffiti etched into the skateboard and ink "handwriting" on the shoes (like the "A" for anarchy, etc.) HTH

we live about 20 miles away from each other - want me to make them? icon_smile.gif
You can search online for templates of sneakers and cut/assemble them out of gumpaste.... it's just a loafer with a sneaker sole. icon_smile.gif

I'm in Warrenton/Bealeton area. The shoes aren't really that hard to make - with gumpaste anyway. icon_smile.gif
