Brickflor, is the vanilla nut & butter flavor you tried the McCormick's extract or the vanilla nut & butter flavor oil from Mary's Sweet Shop?

God Bless,

It's McCormick's.
'A waste of time' is a good example of the theory of relativity. 4 hours spent on decorating a cake is a long time, 'a waste of time', to some, but to the decorator those hours seem like minutes because they're doing something they love.

for those of you who use oil flavorings do you put the same amount as an extract? just wondering cause i know that oils can be more pungent than a regular extract.

No and don't try it, believe me! icon_lol.gif Just use them in drops because the flavor is very concentrated - some more than others. I generally use about 5-7 drops in my BC or cake depending on how strong it is.

The oils I use and like are: champagne, cheeseake, amaretto, bavarian creme, coffee, banana and strawberry.

I need to buy more, I'm out of my favs!

I completely understand. My "duh" moment didn't clear up until after I'd already tried it with the full measurement as other extracts. icon_lol.gif

Grody.

Do you still use vanilla when you use other flavorings?
