Hi! I am fairly new compared to most of you at cake making and decorating.

My husband suprised me with the 8" round silicone cake pans that I have been wanting....unfortunately I have had nothing but bad luck with them. When the cake cools in them they stick. When I try to take them out warm they always crack in half. I used cooking spray, oil, flour, sugar... nothing has helped! My mother-in-law just suggested putting partchment paper in them.

Is it just me or do these not work? Please someone help! My son's birthday is this weekend! I am inspired by greatness....some of the other designs in the CC gallery!!!

Help!!!

Thanks! icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

I think some of the pans are better than others. I didn't have the problems you are having. If the cake sticks, I would definitely use parchment.
