When using a color flow piece do you flip it over like when you do a FBT or do you use the side that you added the color. Does it matter?

I did one tonight and I like the texture of the side I added the color to but the picture looks better on the side that is down (the right side for FBT)

Help what side should I have up?

When you are doing color flow pieces the side that is against the piece of wax paper should be the back side of the piece.

OK, so it is different then the FBT? Don't you use the other side for the FBT?

Yes, it is the opposite of a FBCT.

Joanne, you are correct. With FBCT, you use the "bottom" (as piped), because that side will be smoother and better looking.

With colorflow, while the back side (against the waxed paper) might have a neater picture, it doesn't have the nice surface and "dimension" of the top. A well done colorflow piece has a nice, puffy appearance.
