I need to vent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so mad, I just got my photos and they are horrible. I really need a digital camera that way I wouldn't have this kind of surprises. I think I'm ordering one from newegg tomorrow...
After I went to all the trouble making a cake for the contest, the photos just ruined everything AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

*Big Hugs* Once you go digital you'll never go back. Your pictures will be so beautiful you might just cry. icon_wink.gif Well, it depends on what you buy but do some research before you pick one up. I love the Sony line, great little digital camera.

O Wandy, I am so sorry to hear about your pictures! Big Hugs and Extra large piece of cake for you to have pitty party with. I know that is what I wanted when my little digital camera died on me, & trust me I had a Huge Pitty Party over it. you should shop around and make sure your Megapixels are good on it ( 4 or more if you can). Good Luck!

oh yes the love for a digital camera. icon_lol.gif I just recieved one last year. Boy let me tell you, you will look at those other camera's with a look of " what was I thinking, should have gotten a digital a long time ago!". I could have had alot of nice pics of some other cakes I made, but noooooooo I developed the film years ago and well they are ugly! Not the cake, the film developing. I got a Kodak Easyshare DX4900. And I love it! icon_biggrin.gif

Well I had a Kodak digital cam, but it slipped from one of my kid's hand and oops, bye bye camera. I've been saving some dollars to buy a new one. I saw a HP one in newegg priced $169, looks good and I really want one. It's true you can't live without one icon_surprised.gificon_biggrin.gificon_eek.gif . Next time I'll have to lock it up with a key.

We bought a digital camera almost 4 years ago and I love it!!!
Make sure you get something with nothing than 3.0 megapixel, and you also want something that has a optical and digital zoom on it.
We have a Sony and I love it! You can get soo many accessories, like I can buy a case for it in order to take it underwater with me- how cool is that!

Ok, forgot to add, the cool thing about digital is you can save your pics onto a disk...now what's really cool is this...you can buy small disc's that are in the shape of a business card and copy some of your favorite cakes that you have made onto these business card discs and give them out to people, that way you always have a portfolio on hand. icon_cool.gif

Dh bought me a Canon 8.0 megapixel digital camera for my birthday. I'm ruined because I can't ever go down in megapixels again. Kinda like having DSL then switching back to a modem. Downright painful.

I'm with you bikegal.. I have a Sony digital camera and I wouldn't take anything for it.. actually, I've had 2.. my first one went out cause I used it to death lol .. I bought another one because I loved my first one that much.. and you were also correct in saying, once you have a digital camera, you don't want to use the kind with film. I do, however, take pictures with both cameras of my wedding cakes.. Just in case the digital camera would, for some crazy reason, not take the pictures right, I use a film camera and take pictures with it too..

I'd suggest, to those that have memory sticks/cards, buy a jump drive .. they plug into the back of your pc and will download your pictures without having to hook the camera up each time .. I don't know about you guys, but mine "eats" batteries .. I mean it will drain a battery really quick .. so I got a jump drive that cost about $17-$20 at WalMart... you plug your memorystick/memorycards into it, plug into your computer and your pictures will auto download.. no software needed for it either .. they're awesome!

The best place to get them is ebay: http://search.ebay.com/business-card-cd_W0QQfkrZ1QQfromZR8 this is the search I did, there are a lot of listings for you (I typed in 'business card cd')
