NEW- with a question

I am new here and am attempting to make my first cake for my dad's birthday and today is my trial run. I am making the recipe that is titled "Durable Cake for 3D and Wedding Cakes". My question is...do I follow the ingredients on the cake mix and then add the extra stuff or just add the stuff she has listed to the cake mix? Probably a dumb question but I am sooooo new at this!! Thanks in advance!!

I'm sorry I'm not any help here. I haven't tried that yet, but on others using a mix and other ingredients you just follow the other directions... not the mix. Welcome to CC!!!! Hopefully someone else here will have a better answer for you!

You just add the stuff she has listed to the cake mix... It will come out ok.

hmm is it a cake mix extender??? if it is you make according to the box and add the extra stuff.
