How does Antonia74's icing taste?

I was just curious if the cookie icing recipe of Antonia74 tastes better than the Wilton recipe. I stay away from this type of icing because it gets so hard and I do not like the taste. Could flavor be added? Thanks!

I think it tastes great! It gets hard enough to stack cookies, but not rock hard so that you can't eat it.

It tastes awesome! It doesn't get THAT hard. I used it for the first time a couple of weeks ago and now that's all I'll probably use! You can add any flavoring you want. I added almond extract, it was so yummy! thumbs_up.gif

I just made this icing for the first time (with NFSC) and it was great - even without flavorings... but now I'm curious - besides almond extract, what else could you use to flavor it?

It's tastes great! I've used orange, lemon, almond, vanilla, creme bouquet, and coconut extracts to flavor mine. I really like the creme bouquet; it's not overpoweringly (not a word but oh well icon_rolleyes.gif ) sweet.

I've used lemon, almond, or vanilla in the past, and they were all good.

The most recent batch, I used 1/2 tsp each of Wilton Butter flavor and Creme Bouquet, and that was by far the best flavor I've ever made!

slejdick- Where would I find creme bouquet? What does it taste like? I've heard alot about it but I can't find it anywhere. icon_smile.gif

Is the recipe is on this site? It sounds like something I'd like to try. Oh, & I've never heard of 'creme boquet', could someone tell me what that is & where to find it?? Thanks!!!
